INCIDENT

It is related that Ameerul_Mu’mineen, Mansoor, dreamt that he had lost all his teeth. In the morning he called for an interpreter.

The interpreter came and after listening to the dram, said to Mansoor: “All your relatives will die.” Upon this, Mansoor became infuriated, saying : “May Allah lock your mouth! May He never let your interpretation become a reality! Now be gone!”.

The another interpreter was called who fortunately was familiar with courtly protocols. He said: “O Ameerul-Mu’mineen, you will live for a long time. You will be the last to die amongst your relatives”.

Highly delighted with his tactful interpretation, the Ameerul-Mu’mineen laughed, remarking: “both interpretations are the same, but the manner employed by you is more superior and excellent!” He then presented him ten Thousand Dirhams as a gift.... Islamic Dream Interpretation

TRUE STORY

Aboo Ammaarah Attayyaan (RA) reported to us that he revealed a dream of his to Imaam Muhammad bin Sireen (RA) that it was as if he had seen a separ or lance in his hand.

The Imaam asked whether he had seen the point of the lance or not. He said no. Upon this he said: “Had you seen the point, a son would have been born to you. But now you will have female issues only.” He pondered for a moment, then said: “ In all, twelve daughters will be born to you”.

(After many years) it is reported from Muhammad bin Yahya that when he revealed the above incident to Abul Waleed (RA) the latter laughed saying: “I am the son of one of them. I have eleven maternal aunts and Aboo Ammaarah Attayyaan was my grandfather. May Allah shower His blessings upon him and us and all the Muslims.”... Islamic Dream Interpretation

SCAPEGOAT

The word scapegoat actually comes from the sacrificing of a goat to appease the gods, and in dreams this symbol can be highly relevant.

If in our dream we are the scapegoat for someone else’s action then we are being turned into a victim. Other people maybe trying to make us pay for their misdcmcanours.

If we are making another person a scapegoat then this indicates a blame shift, and that we are not taking responsibility for our own actions.

Often in families and teams one member takes the brunt of all the projections from the rest of the family or group. He (or she) is continually belittled or laughed at. and can be blamed for all sorts of things which are not their fault. They become the scapegoat. In dreams, however, there is recognition that there is an aspect of cooperation and collaboration in the dreamer. We need to do something to redress the balance, and often the solution can only come from us.

3- This represents the sacrificial victim, dying that others might live.... Ten Thousand Dream Dictionary
